Science Current Event

I’m only in middle school, please make it relatively simple! It has to be made/discovered after the year 2000, and I want it to be interesting, but small, not a big issue (i.e. Global Warming or animals dying). It also has to be clearly related to science. Please post your sources and thenk you for your input!

Since they have it all wrong, I’d expect Creationism to have many, many more.

I’m looking for articles on any topic of environmental science (hopefully recent articles), but preferably on animals. I need to have enough information to write a one page summary. Thanks =]
