Science Current Event

We do two current events per quarter in our ES class. We need to find and article (online or in the newspaper) that is environmentally related with some sort of issue. It also has to be current (within the past month). The article should portray at least one side, or both, and it needs to be controversial. I am not able to find anything. Does anyone know of any sources online where I might be able to find some good articles? I’ve searched but I can’t find anything.

I need to write a one page summary for each of 8 science articles. However, I can’t find any interesting, 2+ paged articles (but not that long), that are from recent news, relating to science. Believe me, I’ve checked NYT’s already. If you find any, please post them, but let them be appropriate for high school. Thanks.
If so, a link would be great. It can’t be from a book or anything.
